“It was late on a Saturday night (about 9ish) and my wife and I were driving through Freeport on our way home. Recalling several great reviews in the Tribune over the years we decided to stop in for a bite. We were told it would be a 15 minute wait, but were seated in less than five. A man was playing the piano and my wife and I decided to split a pizza. We ordered a "Classic" which had spinach and tomatoes and olives. Between the music and the food, my wife and I had one of the most romantic, memorable evenings of our 16 year marriage. The ambiance was conducive to great conversation. After our meal we went upstairs to their lounge area and had a few glasses of wine. We ended up spending the night in Freeport that evening, and will be returning to Cannova's for our next anniversary....” |
