Read the reviews so I thought I'd try Logans. Never again. Bad staff, fish was "average at best". Yellow Creek Inn in Pearl City is the BEST place for Friday Fish. Probably not going back - bad atmosphere, not sure why the others said it was good - because many say otherwise.
I just want to put my 2 cents in on the comment regarding Yellow Creek/Logan's. First off, this website is for FREEPORT, IL. I didn't see anything about Pearl City. I just was at Logan's for my very first time. If you do want to visit a bar in FREEPORT, I do suggest Logan's. Just going to that bar for my first time makes me want to go back, even with the negative comment on 08/21/07 @ 23:178.
Sounds like we have a case of free advertising going on here for the Yellow Creek Inn! Must be a friend of the owners!?! That's good that you won't be returning to Logan's. For us patrons we prefer not to associate with people like you. Oh and by the way you must have missed the fact that this website is FREEPORTIL.COM not pearlcity.com. Not very bright of you. I am sure you fit right in at the Yellow Creek Inn!!
Hi this is Eric White:Contrary to POPULAR beliefs i had no idea this website even existed! now that i have viewed it thank you EVERYONE for your comments even the bad one... We will continue to do our best in serving you in the best way we know how!! We @ Logans are very sorry for your experience, And for those who support Logans THank you as well!!! Yellow creek inn is a Very nice place and i encourage everyone to try it if you havent!!!
One of the best new power trios in rock will appear at Logan's On February 16th, 2008.
Guitarist Michael Tafoya of Kankakee, Illinois may not be a household name, but the middle-aged blues rocker has certainly had an eventful career in the music biz.
Tafoya -- endorsed by guitar giant Gibson -- has been signed to Epic Records twice. He also has the distinction of having been in the only unsigned musical group to ever perform on "American Bandstand" during that legendary television show's nearly four-decade history.
Playing guitar since childhood, Tafoya beat around the Chicago club scene for a few years before co-founding the legendary 1970s biker band, The Boyzz From Illinoizz, who signed with Cleveland International/Epic and released one album, "Too Wild To Tame."
After touring the world with that group for a few years, opening up shows for all the big names of the day -- J. Geils Band, UFO, Aerosmith, Nazareth, etc. -- Tafoya moved on to co-found The B'zz in 1982.
That band made history when the world's oldest teenager, Dick Clark, invited the then unsigned B'zz to perform a pair of songs on his long-running "American Bandstand" television program.
"The B'zz have the distinction of having been the ONLY band without a record deal to have ever appeared and performed on 'American Bandstand'," crowed Tafoya.
That TV appearance helped land a deal with Epic Records and resulted in a lone album, "Get Up!," produced by Tom Werman (Aerosmith, Cheap Trick).
B'zz music appeared in films and the video for its hit single, "Get Up, Get Angry," made them MTV stars.
But that was then. This is now.
Tafoya is currently bending guitar strings for his amazing new power trio, Tafoya's Lost Boyzz, with drummer Chris McCoy and bassist Eric Osland.
McCoy's father Terry and his uncle Al were the drummer and guitarist, respectively, of The Rivieras, the LaPorte, Ind., band that wrote and recorded the chart-topping '60s surf anthem, "California Sun."
"We've got a new CD called 'Life,' I am extremely proud of," Tafoya said. "It's probably my best playing on a record ever and Chris and Eric are just amazing."
"This will be a show to remember," Tafoya said.

Eric White - not sure if you have returned to this site since your first / last post - why dont you have a website that lists upcoming events and bands that will be appearing at the bar?
I had the steak sandwich and fries for lunch and I would recommend it to anyone. I can't wait to return to try something else. The weekday lunch bartender was very friendly and attentive. I'll be back soon
