The Winneshiek Theatre is home to one of the longest running amateur theater groups in the country. The building has provided entertainment on its stage since 1936. The Winneshiek Players The Winneshiek Players have been performing for the people of Freeport since 1926, making them on of the longest running amateur theater groups in the United States. The season for this group runs from October until May and host about six performances.

This theater is fun and has a great summer children's theater camp. An awesome to place to get entertainment.
